Our Philosophy

 

The young owners of Grain de Sel, Sandrine and Jean-François have honed their culinary skills in the restaurant business for more than ten years: Jean-François as a chef and Sandrine in restaurant management in Montréal.

Le Grain de Sel is a wonderful place to share a delightful experience with family, friends or colleagues in the culinary world of a thousand flavours. It is a clever mix of fresh and local produce, warm and friendly service that offers a truly unpretentious, genuine and incredibly rich culinary experience. The wine list includes mostly privately imported wines from around the world.

Jean-François, the passionate chef of Le Grain de Sel creates each one of his dishes from the seasonal products of Québec. Making no concession on quality or freshness, he personally selects and purchases everything served at Grain de Sel. Jean-François uses his talent and creativity to create an original menu that you will love.

Though the menu changes with seasonal availabilty of produce, some of the menu classics remain. Among these include his succulent blood sausage, prepared in accordance with the culinary arts of Europe has become the most popular item on the menu. Jean-François can and will create a dining experience like none other, “a la carte”, “table d’hote” or to fill the unique tastes of guests when booking groups.
